 Baseball
Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played
between two teams of nine players each. The goal of baseball is to score
runs by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four
markers called bases arranged at the corners of a ninety-foot square, or
diamond. Players on one team (the batting team) take turns hitting while
the other team (the fielding team) tries to stop them from scoring runs
by getting hitters out in any of several ways. |

gave rise to the chopper style of motorcycle. |
 Matchbox Racing Car
Matchbox is a die cast toy brand
currently owned by Mattel, Inc. Matchbox toys were so named because
the original models were packed in boxes similar in size and style
to boxes of matches. The series became so popular that the Matchbox
name was once widely used by the public as a generalized trademark
for all die cast toy cars measuring approximately 2.5 inches (6.5
cm) in length, regardless of brand. In the 1970s, Matchbox switched
to the more conventional, plastic and cardboard "blister packs" used
for other die cast cars such as Hot Wheels. |

 Mountain Bike
A mountain
bike or mountain bicycle (abbreviated MTB or ATB (All Terrain
Bicycle)) is a bicycle designed for mountain biking, either on dirt
trails or other unpaved environments. In contrast, road bicycles are
not designed for such rugged terrain.
Mountain bikes have wide, knobby tires for extra traction and shock
absorption. In recent years, front wheel suspension has become the
norm and full front and rear suspension is becoming increasingly
common. Some mountain bikes are also fitted with bar ends on the
handlebars. |
 Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are a
professional American football team based in the city of Oakland,

 Motorcycle
Chopper Ride
A chopper is a radically customized
motorcycle, archetypal examples of which are the customized
Harley-Davidsons seen in the 1969 film Easy Rider. Many of today's
custom motorcycles are sometimes mistakenly called choppers, but a
truly custom-built motorcycle has additional - usually chrome -
accessories and billet parts added on to the bike for aesthetic
value, while originally such modifications were purely functional in
nature. |
 Olympic Laurel
A laurel wreath is a circular wreath
made of interlocking branches and leaves of the Bay Laurel (Laurus
nobilis, Lauraceae), an aromatic broadleaf evergreen. In Greek
mythology, Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his
head. In ancient Greece wreaths were awarded to victors, both in
athletic competitions, including the ancient Olympics, and in poetic
meets; in Rome they were symbols of martial victory, crowning a
successful commander during his triumph. Whereas ancient laurel
wreaths are most often depicted as a horseshoe shape, modern
versions are usually complete rings. |
 Rodeo
Rodeo is a sport which arose out of
the working practices of cattle herding in Spain, Mexico, and later

on the skills required of the working vaqueros and later, cowboys,

northern Mexico. Today it is a sporting event that consists of
several different timed and judged events that involve cattle and
horses, designed to test the skill and speed of the human cowboy and
cowgirl athletes who participate. | |
 Soccer
Association football, commonly known
as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of
eleven players, and is widely considered to be the most popular
sport in the world. It is a football variant played on a rectangular
grass or artificial turf field, with a goal at each of the short
ends. The object of the game is to score by maneuvering the ball
into the opposing goal. In general play, the goalkeepers are the
only players allowed to use their hands or arms to propel the ball;
the rest of the team usually use their feet to kick the ball into
position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball
in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the
match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a
draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty
shootout, depending on the format of the competition. |
 Sword
A sword fundamentally consists of a
blade, a hilt, and a pommel, typically with one or two edges for
striking and cutting, and a point for thrusting. The basic intent and
physics of swordsmanship has remained fairly constant down the
centuries, but the actual techniques varied among cultures and periods
as a result of the differences in blade design and purpose. The names
given to many swords in mythology, literature, and history reflect the
high prestige of the weapon. |
